Cheney declares that he's an honest and discreet adviser for Bush during his presidency. In accepting the Republican vice presidential nomination Cheney stated that he looks forward to working with a president who will work for the accomplishment of goals through reaching across the partisan aisle and working with political opponents in good faith and common goals. Richard Bruce Cheney is the father of Richard Herbert Cheney of the late Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. He was born on January 30, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. At the age of 13 Richard and his family moved out of Nebraska and moved to Casper where his dad was the director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservation district.
