Aspen Ladd began her journey to combat sports at teenager age. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing wrestling BJJ and BJJ she began her professional debut with Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd was able to take down three opponents in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of her opponents had been defeated in the first five minutes. Invicta defeated her at bantamweight and was victorious via submission armbar in the second round. Aspen utilized her superior wrestling skills to beat McGill in the third round of a TKO. Aspen was then in a fight with Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing catchweight (138.1lb) As Ladd had missed weight. However, Aspen was able to take on Hoy. She won with a TKO after the second round. At Invicta FC21, she was the last bout for the company. She defeated Sijara Ebanks in a unanimous decision. Her UFC debut came in UFC Fight Night 118 when she fought Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina and then pounded her on the ground to pick up a second-round TKO victory. She remained dominant, and won another big win over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd ended Evinger in the opening round and got a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos-Lee match with Eubanks' Sijara was her first fight that she's had in a major role. Ladd was the winner of the night's main event fight bonus fight after the two fighters engaged in a fierce combat.
